Junior Golf

The overall aim is to provide opportunities for young people to develop their golf in an environment that will support the individual to achieve their own goals.

We encourage players’ long term participation for fun and creating elite golfers where appropriate.

The coaching and playing programme is centred on each players’ needs and is designed to challenge and reward players at all stages.

Andy Taylor Golf and Kirtlington Golf Club use and support national good practice with regards to child protection and welfare.

Our coaching is viewed as long term and can best be summed up as,

“Guided long term improvement led by the coach and coaching team”

All young golfers have full access to the appropriate course and are encouraged to learn to play the game.

As each young person develops at different speeds we understand that the age ranges and timings of development overlap in many areas.

Many young people will decide that they wish to participate on a social level and the benefit of this programme is that they will be well positioned to enjoy a long period of fun in the game.

Elite training, with the knowledge and equipment we have at our disposal, creates the environment of learning that benefits the players’ long term development, guiding and advising how to maintain the improvement to excellence. Individual coaching plans are tailored to each player’s needs.

We discuss progress and further development with parents and ensure the involvement and support of everyone involved.

Juniors are welcome to join in either in single events/camps or enrol on the player development plan outlined below.
